Aparna was born in Delhi. Her parents being in transferrable jobs during her formative years meant that she grew up being exposed to different geographies and their cultures, in India and Europe. 

Completing her BA (Hons) from Miranda House, Delhi University and Masters in Social Work, Aparna stepped into what would become a 26 year long career in Human Resources, working across Industry sectors such as Manufacturing, Technology, Pharma and Engineering in companies such as SKF Bearings, Encore Software, Strides Arcolab, and 3M India Limited

About mid way in her career, came more aware of (and personally experienced) the challenges for women in the workplace. She became active in participating in and establishing leadership forums for women, and advocating this cause. Aparna won several awards for her innovative initiatives for women leaders. 

Wanting to play a more direct role in this space, she left her thriving corporate career to follow her passion full time.  

Aparna now focuses her energies on women professionals: through coaching and organizing learning events, thereby facilitating their growth and change.  

 

She co-hosts a podcast "Her Business Is Our Business" and conducts research on women professionals and women entrepreneurs with the objective of building a focused body of work that is centered on the Indian context.

Over the last many years Aparna has been coaching and facilitating workshops for leaders, men and women, across industries, including Manufacturing, Technology, Banking, Financial Services, and others. 

When she is not at work, Aparna engages in the study of philosophy, sings, cooks (and eats), and binges on TV shows and movies online.

e than thirty years of experience in the corporate world and as an entrepreneur. She has a depth of knowledge gained from her stints as a human resource professional, a people manager, running her own business venture, and as a coach (ICF-PCC) and researcher.

Having started her career in Bharat Electronics, she went on to work in SKF Bearings, Encore Software, Strides Arcolab, and 3M India Limited, where she lead the L&D functions at the India and APAC level. 

Her engaging coaching and facilitation style has been described as one that gets you to think and act in the most gentle and supportive of ways.
